NDFB termed fake encounter
The Songbijit faction of NDFB termed the killing of Dwimalu @ Dabla on Friday in an encounter of the joint operation of Indian army and Assam police at Asraibari under Mazbat bordering to Udalguri and Sonitpur district and recovering of a huge cache of arms and ammunition was fake and baseless.
B R Ferengga, in-charge for Education wing of NDFB in a press release said the killing of Dwimalu was fake and statement given by Sanjukta Parasar, SP, Sonitpur district was baseless. Dabla was a civilian but a supporter of our organization. He went to Asraibari market for shopping. But Jethw, Oma Raja and Pilot (Both are cadres of 38th batch) the members of the NDFB and killed him from close range, there in the market. Now, it’s declared as an encounter by Sanjukta Parasar. It was a fake encounter where we have enough evidence on that, Ferengga said.
The outfit leader said that it comes to view that Ranjan Daimary has started the fratricidal killing among the Bodos. Ranjan’s cadres had also killed our cadres, M Megra on March 29 at Kamargaon in sorbhog, B Thaijou on February 20 and G Bigrai on February 23 and many civilians’. So, we (NDFB) want to have clarification from Ranjan Daimary, the former president NDFB about the outcomes of the fratricidal killing earlier done with ABSU, BLT and NDFB (P). What is your objective of killing your own brothers? By doing such activity are not you prove yourself that you are obeying the dictates of our enemy, India?
The outfit organization appeals the Bodo people to be aware from such anti-social activities done by Ranjan. We believe our Bodo people will stand against another step of fratricidal killing, he added.

An emergency response mock drill was conducted by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Habrubari in Kokrajhar district on Friday,which was a part of offsite emergency mock on the IOCL Guwahati-Siliguri underground pipeline to test the preparedness of its emergency personnel.
