Election observer visited Chirang

The central observer (General), Rajesh Kumar Sinha, IAS for No. 5 Kokrajhar HPC (ST) visited the 31-Sidli (ST) LAC segment and held a meeting with the officers engaged in different cells under the District Election Office (DEO) where he has stressed to conduct election in  free and fair on Sunday in Chirang district

Virendra Mittal, DC and DEO of Chirang  welcomed Sinha to the district and briefed about the preparation so far made for smooth  conduct of election in the district along with touching present law and order situation, regular monitoring of Model Code of Conduct violation, implementation of expenditure related mechanism etc.

Sinha expressed his satisfaction over the progress of work in the district and suggested few more necessary points to be taken care of for conduct of free, fair and hustle-free election. He further, took stock of progress of the EPIC distribution, the percentage of inclusion of young voters in the electoral roll and the strategy initiated for deployment of security personnel to the vulnerable pockets in the constituency.
