Voters awareness campaign

Kokrajhar district administration flagged off the voters’ awareness day across the district on Tuesday.

Deputy Commissioner Nitin Khade launched the programme in the presence of Baskar Das, District election officer which willcontinue for 25 days started from Tuesday in the district.

Khade said that a strong security arrangement would be made to avoid unwanted incidences during the election which be held on April 24. He said that adequate security arrangement will be deployed to hold the election in free and fair manner. He said additional security forces would be deployed in the district before the election but not immediately as the whole country will witness election in phase wise. He said, sufficient security forces have already arrived in Kokrajhar and more additional forces will arrive soon to ensure peaceful elections.
