Mani Kumar Subba filed his nomination papers to contest as independent candidate in Tezpur in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls on Friday.
Accompanied by thousands of his supporters, the three time Congress MP arrived at the Sonitpur Deputy Commmissioner’s office in Tezpur at 12 in the noon.
At around 12-30 in the afternoon, Subba accompanied by his 5 filed nomination papers before the returning officer.
Talking to reporters, Subba said that his victory is imminent and that the voters would always remember him for his service during the last 20 years. Notably, a section AIUDF workers are believed to have supported him.
