SOS CHILDREN'S VILLAGE Of Hojai Celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Governor and Chief Minister
Hojai:-To make Raksha Bandhan celebration a special one a team from SOS Children's Village at Hojai comprisising of Five girls, one mother accompanied by Village Director Paresh Badyakar celebrated Rakshan Bandhan with Governor of Assam Professor Jagdish Mukhi at Raj Bhawan in Guwahati and Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal at CM Guest House Bramhaputra at Uzanbazar in Guwahati on Sunday.At Raj Bhawan the SOS team greeted the Governor on Raksha Bandhan. They tied Rakhis to the Governor. On the other hand, At CM Guest House Bramhaputra they greeted and tied Rakhis to the CM Sarbananda Sonowal.The Governor and CM at their respective venues interacted with the children. They said this festival would further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, amity and harmony and would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.The Governor and CM thanked the children for tying Rakhis on them and wished them a bright future ahead.On the other hand, SOS Children's Village also Celebrated Raksha Bandhan at Hojai with pomp and gaiety. The Children's along with their mother went to Hojai Police station tied rakhis to police officials and also celebrated this auspious day at CV in Hojai.

Hojai: The Hojai police in Doboka have seized a huge quantity of illicit foreign liquor during a raid at a few hotels on Wednesday. HOJAI: Amid simmering shock and anger over sexual crimes across the nation two miscreants allegedly gangraped a girl in Hojai before being dumped on the National Highway No 54 on Wednesday. Local residents spotted the girl in dire straights in the morning who called up police and rushed her to the Nilbagan Model Hospital. According to information, two youths took away the girl from Samoguri in Nagaon district on Tuesday and gangraped at night and dumped her by the roadside.
