Victory for Cong, BPF!

Congress and BPF are likely to win the Rajya Sabbha polls slated for Friday.

AIUDF legislator Ataur Rahman Majarbhuyan has confirmed that he won’t be able to vote on Friday. He is scheduled to arrive in Guwahati only in the evening. He has also faxed his message to his personal assistant on Thursday afternoon.

But by then the polling is set to be over. His vote was crucial for the Opposition consensus candidate Haidor Hussain. AIUDF leadership was also expecting his arrival on Thursday evening. But that will hardly happen. Now the Congress and BPF camp is upbeat with his absence.
