NE Youth Euphoria 2013


Rangapara, Soonitpur, Assam

What is the Event? NE Youth Euphoria 2013 is a 2-days-residential-camp for students studying at Class XI to Graduation (final year, TDC). 300 students will take part in the event – 150 residential participants from other states/districts and 150 local (non-residential) students.

Objective of the NE Youth Euphoria 2013:

  • Opportunity for the students to meet-up students coming from different places of the northeastern region.
  • Opportunity to showcase their talent, e.g. singing, games, poetry, dancing, art, fashion, etc. There will be competitions on different categories and prizes to be won.
  • An exclusive platform for the students for sharing their experiences and make lasting friendship.  
  • There will be workshops on effective communication and personality development.
  • Lots of gifts, freebies, goodie, take aways.

Participation Fee: There are no fees to join the event. Food, accommodation will be provided at the venue. The participating groups must reach the venue on December 27 afternoon. Registration will begin at 2 pm onwards on December 27. Participants will come to festival at their own expenses. No TA/DA will be paid to the participants/groups/group leaders.

Who can participate?  Any student, both boys and girls, studying between Classes from XI to final year of graduation (TDC) will be eligible to participate in the festival. Maximum 12 students in a group from each school/college may participate. The groups must be accompanied by a teacher/official guide, appointed by their school/college administration.

Language: The programmes will be conducted in English, Hindi and Assamese.

Student’s Identification: All participants must carry in their Photo Identification issued by their respective school/college. In case of non-availability of a Photo ID card, a letter from Principal/General Secretary of Students Union Body of respective school/college bearing seal and letter-head, must be carried with.  

Accommodation: Separate dormitory accommodation for boys and girls. They will be provided with mattress, bed sheet, blanket, pillow, etc. The participants must carry in their own winter peripherals/cloths. Accommodation for group In-charge/Teacher/Team-leader will be provided.

Food: Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food – breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea/snacks - will be served to the participants.

How to reach Rangapara:

From Guwahati by Road: 164 km via NH52. Bus, mini-buses are available from Machkhowa Bus Stand, near Bharalumukh at Guwahati throughout the day.

From Tezpur by Road: 29 km From Mission Chariali, Tezpur. 12 km from Balipara to Rangpara

Competitions to join in:

Singing: Indian classical, solo, patriotic, devotional, regional, folk, in any language of the region.

Dance: Indian National Dance forms, modern Indian and Sattriya dance, folk dance.   

Poetry: Recitation of own poem only. Language: Assamese, Hindi and English.

Art/Drawing: On the spot art competition. Topics will be given on the spot.

Solo Acting: 4 min. to each participant. Language category: Hindi, English and Assamese

Debate competition: 5 minutes each. Topics will be given on the spot.

Workshops:

Photography and Citizen Journalism: Guide to use your own camera phones, digital camera to take pictures, make films, capture a crime or social issue – become a Citizen Journalist!

Career Guidance: Games, Stages of Career Growth, Careers Today, Career Planning, Career Options, Self-Awareness, SWOT Analysis, Matching Career and Aptitudes, The Magic of Goals.

Fashion Designing: Career options in fashion industry, latest trends, ethnic fashion, etc. 10 students will be selected from this workshop for the ethnic ‘fashion show’ to be presented during December 29th cultural programme in the evening. Please indicate on your application form if you are interested to participate on this workshop. You will have to bring your own makeup kits if you are selected for the fashion show. A makeup artist will be assisting during the show.

Personality Development: Dimensions of Personality, Tips to Improve Personality, Attractive Qualities for Life, Boosting Self-Image through Johari Window, Self-Esteem, Understanding the Real U, Self-Portrait, Positive Attitudes.

Communication: Effective Communication, Public Speaking, Listening, Interpersonal Relationships, Negotiation.

Environmental Films Screening

Short films on issues related to environment, climate change, will be screened during the day.

Handover of camp-kit-bag: ID card, Final Agenda, Camp Guidelines, Notebook, Stationary, etc.

 

Cultural Evening

6-8 pm every evening with the campers  and invited guests.

2-hours-of-jam-packed-entertainment featuring the day’s top participants/performances.

Also, performance by invited musicians/bands.

Abundance of snacks/food/dinner.
