Very happy to know that the association is continuing to do well and growing. I had the privilege of being the President of the association around 1981-82 when I was a Professor of IIT-Madras ( now Chennai). During Assam Movement, we published the Brahmaputra Beckons. KMSS leaders are all set to hold a crucial meeting with social activist Medha Patkar in New Delhi on Thursday.The meeting assumes significance a day before Patkar’s preparedness to join the Aam Admi Party at a function on Friday.The three member KMSS delegation led by its president Akhil Gogoi on Wednesday arrived in the capital to attend the meeting in the afternoon. The National Human Rights Commission has sought reports from Assam and Nagaland DGPs on the recent recovery of nine bodies in Dimapur.
