Preparatory training for recruitment in Assam Rifles at Khonsa

Under the initiative of Dr Sachin Shinde, IAS, DC, Tirap, the Tirap District Career counseling Cell, Khonsa in collaboration with the 9th Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Lohitpur began a one month preparatory training of Constable (General Duty) aspirants today at the Nehru Stadium in Khonsa, the district headquarters town of Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh to cater to the Special Recruitment Drive for the Youth of Border Districts of Arunachal Pradesh. Addressing the aspirants, Shri N. Tangjang, DLEO, a member of TDCCC exhorted the aspirants to grabs the occasion as God-send opportunity. He highlighted the General Administration untiring efforts in providing all the logistic support for conduct of such training(s) and thanked the DC, Tirap, Dr Sachin Shinde, IAS and ADC Shri H. Matcha, APCS (AG). Asstt. Commandant, 9th ITBP, Shri Dipak Joshi urged the candidates to fully utilize the training. He informed that, light refreshment for the undergoing trainees shall be arranged by the ITBP. This program is for a one month time, which will continue till the Special Recruitment Drive on 3rd July’2013 in the same venue is feted.  It is worth mentioning that since the taking over of charge of the Deputy Commissioner by Dr Sachin Shinde, the TDCCC has been organizing such trainings in collaboration with different organizations such as 117 Brigade, 36th CRPF, 9th Assam Rifle, Gnan Probodhini of Maharastra and many more in the last one year time and the results have always been encouraging.

An unusual incident occurred on Sunday at Namsang village in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh, about 12 KM from Deomali, when the labourers of Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) were digging a bore-well. Three persons were killed on the spot in a road accident that occurred near the Tingrai railway station under Digboi police station in upper Assam's Tinsukia district early this morning. The deceased are Gopal Das (42), Bitupan Das (43) and Hemanta Hazarika (28).
