Union Ministry of Home Affairs will conduct special recruitment drives in the month of May-June, 2013 in the border districts of Assam for Category-Constable/GD posts. These special recruitment rallies will be conducted for filling up the vacancies which remain unfilled after the recruitment through Staff Selection Commission. This would be preceded by 15 days long training session to be organized by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to acquaint/acclimatize the candidates with the examination process. In this connection, the State Government has directed all the Deputy Commissioners of the State to arrange awareness campaigns to ensure adequate participation of the candidates.

Assam government has made compulsory use of seat belt in all types of vehicles.The government has also directed to ensure fitment of seat belt in all types of passenger vehicles including buses by April 15, 2015. Further, no one can sell or handover any vehicle to any customer without pre-fitted seat belt device.
