Students' body condemned deprivation of ST(H) candidates in ACS
The Kuki Students' Organisation, (KSO) Assam, strongly condemned the allocation of ST(H) quota to Smti. Banti Talukdar in the recently announced ACS result.
The name of Banti Talukdar came out in the list of successful candidates against the post of ACS (junior grade) in the ST(H) quota which is a great shock to the people belonging to the S'I'(H) stated a press release issued K Changsan, Secretary, The Kuki Students' Organisation, Assam on Wednesday.
The release maintained that every one knows that in the State of Assam the scheduled tribe people living in the two hill districts of Karbi-Anglong and N.C.Hills only are categorized ST(H). The ethnic title 'Talukdar' in no way can belong to this category and hence the induction of Smti.Banti Talukdar against the ST(H) quota is a gross violation of order and a blatant deprivation of the ST(H) people.
The Kuki Students' Body therefore earnestly appealed to the concerned authority to inquire the matter and seek the remedy immediately before the-problem arise.
