All Assam Students Union has warned the government not to allow the immigrants to settle in the name of rehabilitation package. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Sunday, the AASU leaders said that they would keep a close vigil on the rehabilitation works to ensure that not even a single immigrant is allowed to get the benefit.

Bodo must look after themselves, do not fall to sweet talk of Gogoi, Sonia or Shinde. They will butcher Bodos for vote bank. We all know about AIUDF, a terrorist organization. Altogether six persons died at a tragic road accident in Dhubri on Monday night sending shockwaves across the district. According to information, the accident took place, as their Maruti Van collided its head on a truck at the National Highway No 31 near Targhat in Dhubri. Another kid who sustained serious injury is undergoing treatment at the Dhubri Civil Hospital.According to eyewitness, the Maruti van was on its way to Dhubri coming from Bilasipara which collided its head on a truck which was coming from the opposite side.
