All Assam Students Union has warned the government not to allow the immigrants to settle in the name of rehabilitation package. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Sunday, the AASU leaders said that they would keep a close vigil on the rehabilitation works to ensure that not even a single immigrant is allowed to get the benefit.

Bodo must look after themselves, do not fall to sweet talk of Gogoi, Sonia or Shinde. They will butcher Bodos for vote bank. We all know about AIUDF, a terrorist organization. The United Liberation Front of Asom calls for a 12 hour statewide Assam bandh on Thursday (June 25) alleging that 28th battalion cadres Debojit Chetia and Durlabh Bora were kiled in army custody and not in the encounter in Samoguri on Sunday. In a statement, the banned insurgent outfit said the bandh would start at 5 AM for 12 hours. ULFA said the rebel duo were held by army on June 10 as they were proceeding towards Karbi Anglong.
