All Assam Students Union has warned the government not to allow the immigrants to settle in the name of rehabilitation package. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Sunday, the AASU leaders said that they would keep a close vigil on the rehabilitation works to ensure that not even a single immigrant is allowed to get the benefit.

Bodo must look after themselves, do not fall to sweet talk of Gogoi, Sonia or Shinde. They will butcher Bodos for vote bank. We all know about AIUDF, a terrorist organization. Ajmal gets money from ISI and Saudi Arabia to bribe Congress and help to bring more Bangladeshi to Assam. Bodo's must fight for their survival or we will be wiped out by this invasion.

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is all set to undergo two complicated bypass surgeries. A team of cardiologists led by Dr Ramakanta pandais closely monitoring Gogoi's health at the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai. According to information, Gogoi's surgical incision would begin at 8 in the morning on Wednesday at room no. 422. The surgery would continue for 4 to 5 hours. According to information, a team of police led by Superintendent of police Partha Sarathi Mahanta nabbed the duo and seized pistols and explosives from the spot. They were apprehended at Bondapar near Boko along Bhutan border on Saturday morning.

After a brief silence, ULFA strikes back again with a grenade blast in lower Assam's Goalpara district leaving 6 CRPF jawans dead on Friday. The incident took place at around 11 in the morning at Solmari when ULFA militants lobbed a powerful hand grenade at a CRPF patrolling party. Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has been discharged from Max hospital on Wednesday. Gogoi would be shifted to Mumbai in a day or two for open heart surgeries. It is learnt that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has urged Dr Ramakanta Panda to attend on the Chief Minister. The Prime Minieter who talked to Gogoi on Tuesday has suggested him to go to Dr Panda at the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai. Dr Panda was attending on the Prime Minister last year.

One person died, another injured as a police constable unleashed terror among the members of his family in Guwahati on Tuesday. The incident took place at Lotakota area in the city. It was at around 8:30 in the evening when constable Bimal Phukan shot dead his father in law Shabed Ali when they clashed over property. The Assam government is planning some change in the NRC papers. Disclosing this at a press conference in Guwahati om Sunday government spokesperson Himanta Biswa Sarma said NRC upgradation work has been suspended for a very brief period of time. "Let the Chief Minister return from Delhi. We will talk to the various parties and organisation before resuming the project" said the minister.
Sarma said the government has ordered a judicial probe into the recent Barpeta firing where 5 persons does and over 50 injured.
