With the demands like Establishment of Border Out Post (BOP) in the bordering areas of Dima Hasao District of Assam withNagaland and Manipur States, particularly at Prasadimdik, Bongkai, Laisong, Lodi Kachari etc. and (ii) Reinforcement of security forces in the said areas, the Dima Hasao District Committee, of Autonomous State Demand Committee( ASDC) has submitted a memorandum to the Principal Secretary, Home & Political, Dispur, Guwahati through the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao Dist. Haflong on Thursday (21.6.12).

It is maintained in the memorandum that ASDC Dima Hasao District Committee and in the larger interest of peace, security and safety to the people living in the areas of Dima Hasao District under Assam State which were bordering with the areas of Nagaland and Manipur States, particularly in the area of villages namely Prasadimdik, Bongkai, Laisong, Lodi Kachari etc., would like to state a few lines in this memorandum that due to a reign of terror being unleashed by some militant groups of other states through various acts such as serving extortion notice to the villages of Prasadimdik, Bongkai etc in the border areas of Dima Hasao district, there was an undercurrent tension prevailing in those villages.
