Dima Hasao EM distributes seedling

The Executive Member, in charge Forest etc. of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Sri Bijoyendra Sengyung inspected several projects and schemes taken by the Dima Hasao Forest Department in Umrangso area on Thursday.


Sri Sengyung was accompanied by the Chief Conservator of Forest Sri Bikash Brahma, IFS, Sri Borsing Bey, DFO, T Saikia, DFO, Sri Hiranmay Bathari, ACF, T. Langthasa, RO, Garapani Range and Peter Sumer, RO, Silviculture Range, Umrangso. EM inspected the nurseries and medicinal garden also.


CCF, Brahma during the inspection apprised the EM all about the ongoing projects and its achievements and requested to DHAC to give more importance in forest and its preservation etc. EM also assured all possible supports from the DHAC for the forest. EM, Sengyung also distributed free seedlings to the villagers of several villages of Umrangso.
