Rs 3.25- cr Budget for Tiwa Autonomous Council

"Though Tiwa Autonomous Council has many times failed to develop the livelihood of the Tiwa people in the state, TAC executive members have been snatching a major portion of money in the name of development into their pockets, of the Tiwa areas since its formation from the State Govt. This time the general meeting of the Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) that was held at the conference hall of TAC recently under the presidentship of Narayan Rado Kakati, Chairman of the council was also not different."- reacted a Tiwa organization head while talking to this correspondent over the recent Budget.

Rama kanta Deuri, Chief Executive member of the council, presented the annual Budget report with respect to implementation of different schemes under 25 departments.

After a threadbare discussion, the meeting passed the Budget allocation of Rs.3.25 crore against major development schemes to be implemented in the council areas.

The meeting also formed an effective committee to meet the Chief Minister regarding holding of Panchayat election in the Council areas. The executive members of the Council also voiced their demand to increase fund allocation to Tiwa Autonomous Council as soon as possible.
