Women Health Check-up Camp Concludes
Compare to male journalists, the women media persons based in Guwahati have shown better health status. It was revealed during an all women health check-up camp organized by the city based NEMCARE Hospital in association with Guwahati Press Club on March 4 at the press club premises. Nearly 50 lady journalists and wives of working journalists participated in the health camp, which was organized on the eve of International Women’s Day (March 8) and was supervised by NEMCARE hospital CEO Dr Hitesh Baruah.
The physicians including Dr Anjali Baruah (Deptt of ENT), Dr Nabanita Baruah (Dental), Dr Arunima Goswami (Medicine), Dr Anita Baruah (Dermatology), Dr M. G. Sarmah (Neurology), Dr Shakuntala Mahanta (Gynecology), Dr Anindita Sarma (RMO), Dr Sabina Yashaar (Resident doctor), Dr Rachna Sarma (Pediatrics) examined the journalist and media employees. The nursing team comprising Anima Gogoi, Namita Gogoi, Simtherla, Babina Kotwal, R. V. Lily, Mani Devi with technicians Ramjida Begum, Dinesh Pathak, Pranjit, Chandan Borgohain, Arup Baruah supported the team of lady doctors.

More than one hundred journalists on Friday had their eyes examined at a free eye check-up camp in the premises of Guwahati Press Club(GPC) here.
