The District Organizing Committee (DOC) of the National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) and Aryabhatta Science Centre, Langsomepi block in support of Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC), Guwahati organized a day-long district level project competition on the theme of Land Resources at Bakaliaghat Examination hall on Saturday.
According to programme, at 9.30 am the flag of the NCSC was unfurled by Noni Gopal Bordoloi, President, district organizing committee, NCSC and the project presentation competition was inaugurated by Chandra Koch, senior assistant teacher of Bakaliaghat HS School at 1 pm.
Numbers of students from as many as 20 educational institutions of the district participated in the project presentation competition. The participant students presented their prepared projects on the land resources use for prosperity and save for posterity.
The competition was conducted under the judgment of senior science teachers comprising Kalen Kalita, Prabin Nath, Prantik Bora and Biswajit Goswami. The result of the competition will be declared by 20 September, 2011, the organizing committee asserted.
After the result out the students those who would be able to show good performance in the competition they will be given privilege to participate in the State level competition. At end of the competition, a prize distribution ceremony was also organized. The prizes with certificates were conferred among participants in support of Biren Deka, district Co-ordinator, NCSC, Karbi Anglong district.
