District level science-based competition held at Diphu


Keeping an aim to entice students towards the Science a district level science-based competition was organized by the District Level Organizing Committee (DLOC), Aryabhatta Science Centre (ASC), Diphu here on Thursday at Diphu Govt Boys HS School.


On the occasion, a day-long programme was organized where hundreds of students from different educational institutions under the 11 blocks participated. As per scheduled programme, the Aryabhatta Science Centre’s flag was unfurled at 9.30 am by Dulal Chandra Das, Nodal officer, ASC.


Subsequently, at 10.30 am the science-based competition programme was formally inaugurated by L Jarambosa, Inspector of Schools, KADC, Diphu. During the day-long programme, in different events of competitions like Science-based model making competition, science-based drawing completion and science-based extempore speech competition etc held among the students.


After closing the competitions, an open prize distribution ceremony was organized where Jaya Dawlagofor, Deputy Secretary, KAAC and Benjamin Terang, Principal, Diphu Govt Boys HS School attended as Chief and invited guests. While, addressing the students, Jaya Dawlagofor delivered students inspiring speech.


Pointing out on the responsibility of students, she urged students to play proactive role in their educational careers. Later, prizes were distributed by her among the students those who performed well in the competition.


In the prize distribution ceremony function, L Jarambosa, Inspector of Schools, KADC, Diphu and Benjamin Terang also delivered speech.
