DIBRUGARH: Amid statewide anxiety and fear the five year old girl from Jorhat tested negative at the regional laboratory in Lahowal on Saturday night. As a preventive measure to arrest the spread of Covid-19 in the State, all the elementary/secondary schools and higher educational institutions have been closed down from March 16 to March 29 as per an order issued by the Education department. The Meghalaya government has decided to impose restrictions on movement of public transport and to close all shops, markets and establishments with effect from midnight of March 20 to midnight of March 21 throughout the State. The Arunachal Pradesh government has barred all visitors from entering the State from 21 March.
In an order issued on Thursday, the government said that all visitors/tourist inner line permits stand cancelled with immediate effect.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a tweet said that as precautionary measure, Arunachal is closing its door to all visitors in view of Covid-19 pandemic.
He said all inner line permits (ILPs) issued earlier stand cancelled. He said the well-being of the people of the State comes first.
