CPIM general secretary Prakash Karat says that his party would raise the multi crore scam in NC Hills of Assam in parliament. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Monday, Karat said siphonning off money meant for poor people is a grave and an unpardonable crime and that the guilty persons deserve punishment. Karat along with top party leaders held a brainstorming meet to formulate strategy for the upcoming assembly polls in Assam.

There is no positive outcome in the district after scam issue and all the political leaders are busy in making an image for the upcoming election with the in the name of scam issue.
The district name should be totally named as DIMA HASAO in every article as suggested...as it is officially accepted in the gazzated offices in the state.

The Electronic Media Forum Assam has condemned the attack on journalists by a section of junior doctors of Assam Medical Collage, Dibrugarh last night. The Electronic Media Forum Assam has congratulated Marigaon based journalist Dalim Phukan for his selection of the district level Prachar Bharti award 2011. The recent earthquake with its epicenter in Gangtok, Sikkim has once again raised the question of how safe is Northeast India. The earthquake zoning map of India divides India into 4 seismic zones (Zone 2, 3, 4 and 5). Out of these four zones, Zone 5 expects the highest level of seismicity and is known as the very high damage risk zone .
