AGP meet at Barpeta

AGP organised a Gana Satyagrah on January 10 at Barpeta town. The event was attended by thousands of people which was held at the filed near law college Barpeta. All the central AGP members took out a procession from the district municipality playground shouting with the slogans against the government. MP Kumar Dipak Das, Phani Bhushan Choudhury, working president AGP, Dr. Manoranjan Patowary, MLA, Naba Kr Nas, organizer secy, Prabindra Deka, Dipak Das, Liyakat Ali Khan, MLA etc. were also present.

Manas sanctuary set to get 6 rhino guests

Good news. Manas Sanctuary is all set to get 6 more rhinos afresh. Courtesy US Fish & Wild Life services( FWL), International Rhino Foundation( IRF), and World Wild Fund (WWF). These agencies are implementing the Indian Rhino Visssion 2020 aiming at increasing 3000 Rhino population in all the seven sanctuaries in the state. Dead body of Driver found

A dead body of a driver of Nalbari reserve police was found at Bardhantuli no. 5 Batasila gaon Panchayat under Nalbari police station in Barpeta district this morining. The dead body was identified as Najrul ali of Bardhantuli village in Nalbari district. According to report, Najrul was killed brutally while he was returning from his work yesterday night and after killing him the miscreants kept his dead body in a pond at Bardhantuli village near his home.
