Award to Assam Horticulture
Best Display Award given to Horticulture Directorate of Assam in the 6th International Flora Expo , held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi , which was commenced from 7th January, 2011 to 9th January, 2011. Madan Mohan Deuri Bharali has received the award on behalf of the Directorate. The Assam stall highlighted the diversity of floriultural resources of Assam in the Expo. Nearly 400 village women on 11.9.2010 took part in the community prayers within the campus of the Bandiya LP School , Bandiya village, a few kilometres from Mangaldai town of Assam, have set a rare example of community prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
