Investors showing keen interest in horticultural produces of Assam
The tradition, diversity, potentiality and high demand of horticultural produces of Assam has able to draw tremendous interests of investors, traders and general visitors in the Horticultural Stall of Directorate of Horticulture & Food Processing, Assam of ongoing India International Trade Fair held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 14th November last. This fair will conclude on November 27 next.
The stall displaying wide range of fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices, tuber crops, nut crops, medical and aromatic crops besides various kinds of value added products like pickle, squash etc.
Several investors showing their keen interests in Bhot Jolokia ( Capsicum chinense Jacq.), Assam Lemon or Nemu( Citrus limon), Carombola or Kordoi ( Averrhoa carombola L), Passion fruits or Lota bel ( Passiflora edulis), Olive or Jolphai ( Elaeocarpus floribundus), Eleppant Apple or Ou-tenga, Birds Eye Chilli or Kon Jolokiya, Bamboo shoots or Bahor Gaj, Ginger, Turmeric, Black Pepper, Anthurium, Orchids etc.
Entrepreneurs participated in the stall also benefited by sale of their own farm produce and value added horticultural products.
