12 hrs bandh

The 12 hours N. C. Hills now Dima Hasao Bandh in demand of bifurcation of N. C. Hills called by the Hills Tiger Force, a newly formed armed outfit disrupted the normal life here at Haflong today.

Initially the people were confused as there was no poster of bandh in the vicinity of Haflong but people become panicky due two bomb blasts at Harangajao and Mahur last night though there was no casualty.

In the morning, market remains closed but at about 11 am, with the interference of some people the shopkeepers began to open their shops but the movement of people was less than the other days. Very few vehicles were seen on the roads. All the offices remain closed except few but with thin attendance.

No untoward incident reported so far.
