AGP demands CM's statement

The Opposition Asom Gana Parishad demands Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi's statement to clear his stand following stunning revelations by Akhil Gogoi where the original but lost documents of criminal charges against Himanta Biswa Sarma were produced.

In a statement, the AGP said that these revelations have justified the allegations of how the Government has been patronizing criminal activities for the last several years.

The oppostion parties statement reads: DHD chief Jewel Garlosa’s statement in the court premises yesterday that the Government and the administration had a hand in DHD chairman Niranjan Hojai’s escape to Nepal is just one more instance exposing the Government’s murky dealings.

Equally, Assam BJP has demanded Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi's resignation following these revelations.
