Acid test for Chief Executive Member, Haflong


The Chief Executive Member, North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council now Dima Hasao Autonomous Council Samarjit Haflong may face acid test tomorrow as several members of NCHAC are contemplating for voting No-Confidence Motion against the CEM, Sri Haflongbar and to take appropriate action as desired by the members.


It is learnt that in pursuance of the letter No.G S A. 132/2008 Dt. 23/6/2010 received from the Governor of Assam, and on receipt of the requisition from the Members of Autonomous Council, the Chairman, N.C. Hills Autonomous Council, Dima Hasao Districts Haflong Sri Depolal Hojai has summoned a Session under Rule 36 (5) as well as a Special Session under Rule 36 (3) (Proviso) of the Assam Autonomous Districts (Constitution of district Councils) Rules. 1951 (as amended) to meet at 10 A.M on on June 30 in the Autonomous Council Assembly Hall for voting of No-Confidence Motion against the Chief Executive Member.


Sri Samarjit Haflongbar, had assumed the office of the Chief Executive Member, N. C. Hills Autonomous council on January 4th following the High Court order.


Meanwhile, few members of the NCHAC disclose that they follow the party ideology and will not go against the instruction of the party.
