Malayasian car rally leaves Guwahati

Guwahati:To mark the 50th year Independence Day celebration of Malaysia, a car rally begin from Malaysia on 29th July 2007 which will cover several countries. Starting from Kualalampur, Malaysia via Cape town it will return to Kualalampur by 30 th August 2007. The car rally termed as "Visit Malaysia 2007" had a large contingent of participants who participated in the car rally. A total of 12 vehicles participated in the rally with 32 participants from Malaysia.

The rally had arrived at Guwahati city on 24-08-07 night with all the cars and leaves for Kualalampur via Nagaland on 25-08-07 morning. Deputy Minister of Defence of Malaysia Zainal Abidul Jain and Chief of Army Malaysia Dato Shahgon Ebrahim also participated in the car rally.
