Nagaon town roads turn into path-holes
Most of the roads connecting Nagaon with Jagi Road, Dimapur, Tezpur are in such a dire state that travelling through these are becoming to be real nightmare for citizens. The condition of NH, SH as well as inner roads in the city is dipplated so much that two-wheeler riders are mostly who are suffering injury on account of it.
The state of road in front of Sadar Thana can be eye-opener for all of us as police-men inspects vehilce in front of big pocket-holed patches in front of police station itself. But, they seldom do anything besides regular routine cheking of vehicles,because untill the road causes an accident, they are not responsible!!!
On the other hand repairing of roads did'nt come-up in priority list of those bodies, who are concerned about revenue collection in one or another form, but it hardly matter for them to spend back people hard earned money on their welfare. It seems that they had given deaf ear on the issue.

The theatre regime continues to enthrall Nagaon crowd with variety plays each comprising diffferent aspect of life in it. The latest to join the band-wagon here are 'Rajshree Theatre' which is going to host 3 days show from March 25 at local Nehru Bali field. The play to be enacted includes Champak Sarmah's 'Bali', Jiten Sarmah's 'Saraighat' and Hemant Dutt's 'Sapanur Phool'. The music will be composed by Vijaylaxmi-Hemant Thakuria duo.
The mobile theatre troupes are now only entertaining urban crowds but they are immense popular in remote sub-urban towns, taluka etc. As they are not having opportunity to enjoy each prominent troupe like district head-quarters, their enthusiasm as well as love towards up-coming theatre troupe can only be felt in shows being organised in remote location of Assam. The vehicular traffic is so much here in Nagaon that connecting with Haibargaon area with main commercial parts of Nagaon is always seems to be time consuming affair besides cost as an other factor. The three days show from 17-19 Jan’10 is slated to enact Ahijit Bhaatachajee’s play ‘Kaal” and ‘Jhankaar’ with another play by Munin Baruah .
