Assam Association, Mumbai thanks all of you for successful celebration of Magh Bihu2009 at Assam Bhawan,Vashi on 24th January,2009.

Inauguration and lighting of diya by Rupanjali Baruah(Ex.President of AAM),Dr.Beethi Saikia(Eminent Doctor) and By.Bhuban Saikia(Eminent Educationist).

Gonesh Bandana by Mrs.Sushmeeta Rajkonwar.

Goalparia Folk song By.Mrs.Anindita Choudhury.

Modern Song By Kasturika Saikia,Udayan Choudhury,Deepankar Rabha,Indrani Sharma,Dr.Pankhi Dutta and By.Mitali Choudhury.

Modern Dance by Pradhan Deori.

Sword Fight by L.Ranbir Singh.

Inauguration of Magazine: The periodic Magazine of The Assam Association,Mumbai “Enazori” Maghbihu-2009 issue, inaugurated by Devashish Sharmah,Dy.Resident Commissioner,Assam Bhawan.

Felicitation: The Assam Association, Mumbai felicitated bollywood actor Asraful Haque,popular Assamese actor Ankur Bisoya and theatre director Miss Robizita Gogoi.


Community feast: During the progrramme traditional Assamese snacks like “Peetha” and “Tilor Ladoo” was served. After the cultural progrramme, people enjoyed traditional Assamese Food.

I was the part of the night and it was a wonderful experience being there. A bunch of enthusiastic people trying to keep the "Real Asom" in their heart staying away from home even in these busy days. I salute to all those parents who kept the assamese culture alive in the heart of their kids... Jai Aai Asom...
