Eid-ul-Fitr Celebrated with Religious Fervour in Nazira and Gelaki

Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious fervour in Nazira town and several parts of Nazira Co-District on Friday, along with other parts of Assam and across the country.

On the occasion, thousands of devotees gathered at the Nazira Eidgah ground to offer the special Eid prayers. The congregational prayer was led by Maulana Fariduddin Ahmed Qasimi, Imam of Nazira Sadar Mosque, while the proceedings were conducted by Abdur Rahman.

After the prayers, the devotees offered special supplications seeking peace, harmony, and prosperity in Assam as well as across the world.

Meanwhile, Eid-ul-Fitr was also celebrated with equal enthusiasm in Gelaki, a bordering area of Nazira. A large number of people assembled at the Gelaki Eidgah ground where the congregational prayers were led by Maulana Mujibur Rahman, Imam of Gelaki Mosque.

The festival was also observed with congregational prayers in several other areas, including Simaluguri and Mathiachiga Balighat, where devotees gathered in large numbers to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Across the region, people greeted one another after the prayers and exchanged Eid wishes, reflecting the spirit of unity, peace, and brotherhood associated with the festival.
