Assam Don Bosco University Receives eNorth East Award 2023 for Empowering Women

VanitAgrata, the esteemed women empowerment cell at Assam Don Bosco University, has been honored with the prestigious eNorth East Award 2023 under the Social and Financial Category. This recognition was conferred during the 8th eNorth East Award 2023, a distinguished event jointly organized by the Council for Social and Digital Development (CSDD), Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF), and North East Development Foundation on November 24th and 25th in Guwahati.

For over a decade, the e-North East Award has been a beacon, highlighting and promoting groundbreaking digital solutions aimed at fostering sustainable development within India's North East Region.

VanitAgrata, in its pursuit since its establishment in 2015, has remained steadfast in its commitment to elevate the status of women in Assam. Through its transformative projects, namely ShashaktMahila and ShashaktBalika, the organization has been pivotal in realizing this noble objective.

In a major development, NCERT has formally promised to include Srimanta Sankaradeva in school curriculum. They have communicated it to Society for Srimanta Sankaradeva (SSS). Chandra Sadayat, Prof and Head, Deptt of Education in Languages (DEL), NCERT informed SSS President Dr Sanjib Kumar Borkakoti about it in a letter.
