E-waste awareness & collection Drive conducted in Agartala

Hulladek Recycling launched an awareness campaign "Freedom from Ewaste" on August 10 which was flagged off by Member secretary of Tripura State pollution control board Dr. Bisu Karmakar and Manas Mukherjee.

The campaign was directed toward spreading awareness and educating people on e-waste management and recycling. The awareness campaign was followed by a week-long collection drive for individual households to dispose of their electronic and electrical waste.

"Hulladek Recycling is building transformative solutions that bring much-required transparency and accountability to e-waste management in India," said Prasenjit Saha, Green partner at Agartala.

"Hulladek and Green Partners, through its various initiatives, have engaged with hundreds of Bulk Consumers and thousands of waste handlers to encourage responsible management of e-waste. The school programme has reached over 500 schools and engaged over 5 lakh individuals across the country. Green Partners has also successfully collected and sent over 20000 kgs of e-waste for responsible recycling," Saha said.
