HRD ministry is preparing an e-library where the teachers, students and researchers would have free access. This was what Smriti Irani said when the Union HRD minister was a visit to Agartala on Friday.
She said that to be launched in January next year named as Shoddha Sindhu, the e-library will comprise 90,000 books would be available even from the mobiles which would be of immense benefit for the students and teachers.
Later she addressed a function at the NIT in Agartala where she advised the authority to organize a conclave of all NITs of the northeast involving students for a day or two, to knock out solutions to common problems facing them and government of India will help such ventures.
