Dam Sau passes away

Dam Sau Bishwa Gogoi renown Ahom priest also former President; Eastern Tai Sahitya Sabha , Guwahati District Committee and a Social activist passed away this morning in his Hatigoan residence in Guwahati. Dam Sau was born at Azad Rangpuriya goan in Lakhimpur. His cremation took place at Nabagraha cremation ground on Tuesday amongst his well-wishers and family. Dam Sau Gogoi was popular amongst the Ahom community in Assam was related with research of Ahoms and Tai literature a furenal attendant said. Reasons of death is though cited health reasons but it can be predicted that it was due old age ailments.

Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve recorded highest foot fall and revenue collection this season. Post-lockdown rush of both national and native tourists led to the highest annual visitors at the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, which helped the authorities collect record revenue of over Rs. 6 crores.
