Dire trouble for Biren Singh govt
Imphal: In a high voltage drama, at least 9 legislators have pulled out of the BJP-led coalition putting CM NBiren Singh in dire trouble.
The drama began as soon as 3 BJP MLAs quit the party and joined Congress. Then 3 NPP ministers including DY CM Joykumar and an MLA have written to CM withdrawing support.
In yet another development a TMC and an independent MLA have also deserted the BJP-led coalition.

Four women were reportedly injured and at least four houses torched after two groups clashed over a land dispute in Machi Block under Tengnoupal Police Station of Tengnoupal district. The district administration imposed curfew in Machi village and Khudei Khullen following the incident that occurred around 10:30 am. Haijang Village Authority Kangpokpi district, Manipur urged the state government to look into the problem of earth crack in the area which has made houses to slide progressively.
