NDFB-S cadres held

KOKRAJHAR: Four  cadres of National Democratic Front of Boroland-Saoraigwra faction(NDFB-S) were apprehended by security forces at Suwagpur near Goreswar in Baksa district on Thursday.

According to Police source,the NDFB-S outfit organization demanded ransom  INR 5 lakh from  a businessman Bilifang Narzary of Tamulpur.

Two militant cadres were arrested at Baihata Chariali in Kamrup rural while coming to receive demanded ransom on Thursday by security forces belonging to Assam Police,CRPF and India army.

They were identified as Dhaneswar Boro of Tamulpur and Raju Swargiary of Dekiajuli of Sonitpur.

Later,on their revealation two more cadres were also arrested from Owabari of Baksa district.They have been identified as Bijoy Boro and Soneswar Boro.

Five mobile handsets were recovered from their possession.

Body recovered

A body identified as Jadav Kisku,45, was recovered from Pakriguri village under Salakati police outpost this morning in Kokrajhar. Parties welcome newly members

As many as 22 member and supporters from AIUDF and BPF party joined in UPP at a meeting held at Dawaguri ahead few days of the assembly second phase election to be slated to be held on April 11. Missing youth back home

A 20-years-old youth, who has gone missing since September last was brought back to his native village Jitpur Bishmuri in Kokrajhar.The youth was identified as Sibhu Murum, son of late Bisnhu Murum of Jitpur, who lost his both legs at an train accident at Lucknow, he was admitted St. George Medical Hospital, Lucknow on January 29 last.
