Twenty-year-old boy brutally murdered

In a sensational incident, one Ramanand Bora (20) was killed by his neighbour at Dakhin Bidyanagar in Hojai on Friday night.

As per information, neighbour Deepak Rajkhowa repeatedly stabbed Ramanand with a sharp weapon.

Reportedly, Deepak  originally  hails from Karbianglong's Taradupi and was the neighbour of the victim since last past six years.

As soon as  Hojai Police got the information they reached the spot and   arrested the accused, who was creating violence after committing this heinous crime.

The deceased body has been sent for autopsy. Further investigation is underway.

Till now the reasons of assassination couldn't be ascertained.

A pall of gloom has casted  in entire Hojai after learning about this heinous incident.

Locals have demanded justice for the victims family and stern punishment for the accused.

It is to be mentioned here, Ramanand Bora is the son of Former Bharatiya Janta Party Mahila Morcha President Mamta Thousen Bora.

The Hojai police have arrested 12 gamblers as they were gambling on Thursday late night defying the restrictions imposed by the authorities.   Acting on a tip off, Hojai Police had a sudden visit to the Krishna nagar area where 12 gamblers were picked up who were gambling at a room. A case was registered in Hojai Police Station  bearing No No. 717/17 under section 13/14 of Assam Game and Betting Act. Diwali is back to illuminate the landscape with millions of earthen lamps. Potters are busy in making lamps for sale on the occasion.
