No ATM services in Kokrajhar tea estates

Even though BJP led NDA government had announced to set up Bank ATM services as well banking facilities in the tea estates across the state, yet no any ATM services are seeing set up at tea estates in Kokrajhar district. Tea estate labours are facing deprived of ATM as well banking services in the tea estate still today.

Common citizens and labours from Kokrajhar tea estate, Daloabari tea estate and Banglabari tea estates in Kokrajhar district, are deprived opportunities from getting ATM services as well banking facilities due to non avail of ATM services in their respective tea estates for leading life in the tea estates.

 There are over 6,000 labours are working in the three tea estates who are facing depriving from ATM facilities due to insincerity from government as well banking authorities.

Labour communities from Kokrajhar tea estate have demanded early installation of banking ATM services in the tea estates to paving the way transaction opportunity.

 'Due to non availing of ATM facility in the tea estates, we have to face hardship in family maintenance.There is no any ATM services facilities in the tea estates ', said women labours.

Meanwhile, General Manager of Kokrajhar Tea Estate, GL Sharma told that there is no installation of bank ATM services in the tea estate area. He said that there was a discussion over the ATM services in between banking authority and district administration few years back, but yet no ATM services are setting up in the tea estates. He said that the tea estate is ready to install ATM centre if banking authority agree to start services in his tea estates.
