Himanta visits Kokrajhar

Assam Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Kokrajhar medical college would be constructed with amounting of Rs. 382.7 crores and its completion will be done by next three years. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will lay foundation stone on January 6 for College at Debargaon Beswargaon in Kokrajhar district.

Dr Sarma was arrived in Kokrajhar by 10.30 in the moning at SAI Centre to make field verification for laying Medical College in Kokrajhar. Dr Sarma made a field verification site for medical college at Beswargaon where Medical College would be constructed.He was accompanied BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary,Assam minister Chandan Brahma during the visit.

He said that necessary arrangement and preparations are so far made to lay foundation stone for the college as CM is scheduled to visit on January 6 next.He has expressed his hopeful that the Kokrajhar medical college will be facilitating proper medical services in the region and more doctors would be come out through the college.

Security forces apprehended a link man/over ground worker of NDFB-S militant outfit from Guruphela area under Kachugaon PS in Kokrajhar on Saturday.
