Preparations are going infull swing to hold
Indo-Bhutan friendship shooting championship in the last week of February next in Kokrajhar district.
A new committee of the Kokrakhar district Riffle shooting association was formed with Satyendra Basumatary as president and Nandalal Magar as secretary for next three years respectively.
Speaking the reporters today at a Press
Conference held at Kokrajhar District Indoor Shooting Range in Kokrajhar,Satyendra Basumatary said that the district association was working for the uplifting of the shooting players who are taking
training at the range since its inception in the district. He said that district committee has organized several
workshop and
training session on riffle
shoot in the district.
He informed that a week long
workshop on riffle shooting would be organized at the Kokrajhar district indoor
shoot range on and from January 27 to February 2 next.

state has a potential of shooting players because many young players are taking shooting as professional in their career. He has urged players to be dedicated while acquiring professional career.

A day-long workshop on journalism was held at Bodofa House, Baganshali in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. Young journalists from different six districts of the state- Sonitpur, Dhemaji, Udalguri, Baksa, Chirang and Kokrajhar participated the workshop.

KOKRAJHAR: An eight-member delegation of a special review committee on detention center, led by chairman Debojit Mukherjee visited the detention center in Kokrajhar on Tuesday.
The delegation members include Debojit Mukherjee, deputy inspector of police (Border) and chairman of the committee, district judge (retired) H Singh, IGP of Prisons Barnali Sharma, D Saikia, AIG of Prisons and several senior police officials.
There are 142 inmates including 14 minors are kept in the Kokrajhar detention center.
There are six detention centers across the state.

KOKRAJHAR: Indonesian paragliders have won first prizes in the first-ever Bodoland international Paragliding accuracy championship-2019. The event concluded on Thursday after four day programme at Dangdupur Hill in Kokrajhar district.

KOKRAJHAR: The first-ever Bodoland International accuracy Paragliding championship-2019 began from Monday at Dangdupur Hill, Kokrajhar district. 68 participants, including nine countries, are participating the championship.
There are 22 foreign paragliders including four women in the international championship are from China (5), Indonesia (6), Nepal (4), Korea (5), Japan (1) and Taiwan (1). The host India have 46 participants who are coming from Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim.
