Two Minor Die in Flash Flood

Hojai:-Sensation Prevailed in Hojai District's Hayang Gaon on Wednesday when a  shocking  incident of death came to light. 

As Per Information, Two minor girls died in a flash flood while playing  in a field near their house. 

Reportedly, the two daughter's of Hayang Gaon Panchayat President Sushil Malik viz., Beauty Malik  (7 Year's old) and Purnima Malik  (3 Year's Old) died while playing  in a field due flash flood near their house.

Sources said,this flood occurred due to the Incessant rain since last three days.

Teenager missing from Sivasagar

Jumauddin Ahmed (14), son of Haffijuddin Ahmed of Amguri Chariali, of Sivasagar town is missing since January 31. The 7th standard student of Bezbarua Higher Secondary School was wearing blue coloured track suit at the time of missing. Information on the boy can be informed at mobile no. 99543-04468.

Physiotherapy camp for scribes in press club

The city based Purbanchal  Educational  Welfare Society in collaboration with Guwahati Press Club has organized a free physiotherapy and health camp for the scribes in the press club premises on 29 September next. The camp will start at 9.30 am and will continue till 4.00 pm. Organized as a mark for the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day, the event is supported by the Assam Branch of Indian Association of Physiotherapists.

During the camp, the physicians and physiotherapists will provide consultation treatment for various pain related problems along with general heath check up including the blood sugar analysis .

Dr NN Sharma will attend the camp as the consultant physicians and Dr Ujwal Bhattacharya,  Dr Abhijit  Kalita, Dr Ranjeet Singha,  Dr Soniya Lakhotia,  Dr Urvashi Bhattacharya and Dr Kundan Kumar as the physiotherapists in the camp.

Member-journalists are requested to participate in the camp.

Shock and anger in Namrup

Veteran journalists and social activists in Namrup condemned the recent assassination of Gauri Lankesh  outside her home in Bangalore . 

Namrup Press and Society Club members further demanded immediate arrest of the perpetrators involved in it and capital punishment. 

Namrup Press Club secretary and Promotion Club Smrity Rekha Kalita  said " The culprit should immediately punish the person against attack on Gauri.”
