Children Science Congress begins

The Silver Jubilee celebration of the National Children Science Congress (NCSC), Assam chapter Bryan fromage Wednesday here at Government HS & MP school ground with four day programme scheduled.

Doneswar Goyary, BTC executive member cut the ribbon to inaugurate the main pandal of the celebration.

Nearly 250 child scientists,guide,teachers from 33 districts of the state are participating.

The reception committee has been arranged separate accommodation for participants, guide, teachers besides erected beautiful welcome gate.

Assam cabinet minister Keshav Mahanta is attending tomorrow in the technical session on second day of the celebration.

Goyary while inaugurating the main pandal said that it is an important session for the state where young child scientists are showcasing their innovations with creativity.

'We hope that the session will be meeting  a grand success', he said.

Arup Kumar Mishra, director of Assam Science & Technology  and Environnant Council said that the science Congress is a plateform where young child scientists are getting opportunity to explore their talent and innovations. He said this year the NCSC is celebrating silver jubilee across the country with various programmes.

'Participating child scientists are showcasing special projet and innovations on science and technology of the country ',Mishra said.

On the concluding of the session on October 28,Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will be attending as chief guest. BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, cabinet minister Promila Rani  Brahma are attending as guests.

Sharp Rise in Malaria Cases in Kokrajhar: Two Deaths Reported

Kokrajhar district is grappling with a significant malaria outbreak, with 1,991 cases reported up to November 20, 2024, marking a stark rise from 256 cases recorded in 2023.
