Rail services disrupts due to blockade

Rail services are disrupted since 5am morning along the northeast frontier railway due to rail blockade for 12 hours seeking early solution of Bodoland issue and provide political rights to the Bodos who are out of proposed Bodoland.

Several long distance express train and passenger trains are stranded at different stations dua to 12 hours Railway trak blockade at Kokrajhar and Sonitpur today by ABSU, PJACBM, NDFBP in support of demanding separate Bodoland statehood, provide political right and protection to the Bodos who are residing out of proposed Bodoland.

In Kokrajhar station, nearly lakh peoples from different districts of lower Assam gathered with banner, placards and shouted slogans seeking early solve of Bodoland issue through political dialogue. The agitators seated on the rail track since 5 am and to be continued till 5 pm.

Several express, passenger trains have been reportedly stranded at various stations due to the blockade.

The movement groups have been staged the blockade to put pressure government over solving the long standing demand of Bodoland statehood through political dialogue under Article 2 & 3 of Indian constitution. The movement will be continued till resolved of Bodoland issue,said the movement groups.

 Several trains stranded at various station due to blockade for Bodoland statehood, which ari included 15667 up gandhdham express at New Coochbehar, 12423 DN Rajdhani at Guwahati,12510 DN Bengalore express at Kamakhya , 15909 DN Avadh Assam at Bijni,25658 DN Kanchanjanga at New Bongaigaon,12435 DN Rajdhani express at Rangia.

Cancelled trains so far,included 15771 UP Kamakhya intercity , 15769 UP Lamding intercity,UP Demo train.

KOKRAJHAR: An eight-member delegation of  a special review committee on detention center, led by chairman Debojit Mukherjee visited the detention center in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. KOKRAJHAR: Indonesian paragliders have won first prizes in the first-ever Bodoland international Paragliding accuracy championship-2019. The event concluded on Thursday after four day programme at Dangdupur Hill in Kokrajhar district. 68 participants from 11 countries participated in the championship and displayed their paragliding skills. 22 foreign paragliders participanted in the event.
