War against anti social activities
Dozens of social organizations in Kokrajhar have pledged to take on the anti social activities that a pose serious threat to the society.
In a memorandum to the deputy commissioner, these organisations have urged the authority to strictly deal with these elements and to stop allowing anybody from holding gambling like games during the upcoming festive season.
Kokrajhar DC Bibekananda Choudhury, lauded the measures as he met a delegation of ten organisationson Wednesday.
These organizations include Boro Somaj, Kokrajhar district ABSU, NDFB-P, Kokrajhar district ex-BLT welfare society, Kokrajhar district Bodoland Students Union, Kokrajhar district Gaonburah Association, Kokrajhar district committee Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Kokrajhar district unit of Youth BPF, Kokrajhar district committee of Bodo Cultural Association.
They urged the district administration to take stern action against the anti social activities.
Talking to Assam Times, Bibekananda Narzary, president of Boro Somaj said the social organisations have stand united to ensure peace in the society.

According to police, two people were travelling on a bike and met with mishaps that claimed two people on the spot at a roadside parking dumper in Pakriguri along JD Road late at night around 2.15 am on Tuesday night under Kokrajhar police station.

Kokrajhar: The first ever edition of the All Assam Prize Money Non-Ranking Badminton Championship-2021 concluded on Tuesday after a two-day programme was scheduled to be held at the indoor stadium of the Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) in Kokrajhar district.
