Blast in Bijni town; 20 injured

Altogether 20 people have been injured, three of them critically, when suspected ULFA militants exploded a powerful bomb in Bijni in Chirang district of lower Assam. According to information, the blast took place in front of the office of the Bijni Circle officer at around 10-30 in the morning. The bomb was stripped at a bicycle which left off with a huge sound that jolted the town. Top ranked police officers have rushed to the spot and investigation is going on. The injured people have been rushed to the Bongaigaon Civil Hospital. Two of them are in critical condition.
