CM stresses neo Vaishnavism

Assam chief minister Sarbanabda Sonowal stressed the need to upkeep the neo Vaishnavite culture to honour thr great saint Sankardev and Madhab Dev.

Addressing a mammoth gathering in Namrup organized to mark the golden jubilee celebration of the Sarnagari Bornamghar on Saturday, Sonowal said practising spirituality has been the part and parcel of the day to day life in Assam which would keep going on.

A number of colourful cultural programmes was organized to mark the occasion where child playwright Dr Sasankajyoti Khaund, Pradip Kumar Baruah, Debeswar Sarma, Nahorkatiya MLA Naren Sonieal, his Sonari counterpart Tapan Gogoi attended.
