Digital Library in Science College inaugurated

Education and Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the newly constructed Digital Library and Radio Frequency Identification (RFId) center at Science College in Kokrajhar in the presence of  Biswajit Daimary, Rajya Sabha MP,  Dr RN Sinha, principal of Science College on Thursday.  Dr Sarma was on a day long programme where he met principals of different colleges of the region.

Dr Sarma expressed his happieness over well running of infrastructural in the college with modern amenities. Dr Sarma inspected all corners of the college compound in his visit and appreciated the visionary activities carried out by college autority.

A day-long workshop on journalism was held at Bodofa House, Baganshali in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. KOKRAJHAR: An eight-member delegation of  a special review committee on detention center, led by chairman Debojit Mukherjee visited the detention center in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. The delegation members include Debojit Mukherjee, deputy inspector of police (Border) and chairman of the committee, district judge (retired) H Singh, IGP of Prisons Barnali Sharma, D Saikia, AIG of Prisons and several senior police officials. KOKRAJHAR: Indonesian paragliders have won first prizes in the first-ever Bodoland international Paragliding accuracy championship-2019. The event concluded on Thursday after four day programme at Dangdupur Hill in Kokrajhar district. 68 participants from 11 countries participated in the championship and displayed their paragliding skills. 22 foreign paragliders participanted in the event.
