Private schools shine in Kokrajhar

Private educational institutions have done better results than government schools in the HS final examination-2017 this year. The Kokrajhar district has recorded 62.71% pass percentage in Science, 57.15%  in Arts and 42.50% in Commerce stream.

BTC administration announced to extend 2 lakh each those who stood in top spot in both HS and HSLC final examinations in BTAD region.

 The UN Academy(HS), Kokrajhar, a private managed Bodo medium school has scripted 80.95%  pass percentage in Science stream.  A total 102 students passed out of 126 appeared in the final examination  with 26 students in first, 69 in second and 7 in third division respectively. 

 In Arts stream, 98.15%  pass percentage was saw successful with 37 in first, 93 second and 30 in third division in the examination respectively along with 5 star marks. 

 The Science College, Kokrajhar recorded 72 % pass percentage in HS result of 2017. Altogether 94 student passed out of 132 appeared with 42 in first, 47 in second and 6 third division respectively along with 10 star and 55 letter marks.

In Kokrajhar Govt College, 24 students passed in first,48 second and 11 in third division in Science stream while 32 students passed in first,116 in second and 104 in third division in Arts stream.

Mithinga Narzary of RSB College in Kokrajhar scripted 84% pass percentage having three letter marks in Economic,Alt English and English. Altogether 11 students passed in the final examination.

Tulunga Basumatary(Science stream) and  Meriena Mushahary of UN Academy,Kokrajhar scripted highest marks in Bodo(MIL) and Advance Bodo, scored 96 and 87 marks respectively in the HS final examination.

Dr RN Sinha,principal of Science College,Kokrajhar said that this years’s final examination was conducted in strict discipline and result was seeing good in its find out.

Krishna Gopal Basumatary,Durector of UN Academy extending greetings to all successful students in final examination said that the academy was expected better results in this session which could not attain much satisfactory results. The school management was trying to script top spot in the state in coming days.

‘Even though students’ performances are high, yet much results are to be achieved’, Basumatary said.

Kokrajhar, May 2:  A search operation that began yesterday evening concluded today with the recovery of three bodies from the Beki River near Manas National Park in Baksa district. The three youths, identified as Deep Saha, Raj Saha, and Abhijit Karmakar, all from Barpeta Road, reportedly went missing after entering the river for a swim on Wednesday evening.
